The theme of the 2009 Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, 12-16 February 2009 is, 'Our Planet and Its Life: Origins and Futures,' recognises 2009 as the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book 'On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.' The meeting will feature more than 150 symposia and lectures on frontier research topics and policy issues in evolution, energy, the environment, sustainable development and more.
